I have given new meaning to the term “shop ’till ya drop”. I was leaving the mall this week, and managed to take quite a tumble in the parking lot. As I was going down, I heard a slight crack, and knew it wasn’t going to be good. I stumbled to the car, somehow loaded up Holden, the stroller, and all the bags, and like an idiot, started to drive home, convincing myself it wasn’t that bad. After the pain settled in and the hallucinations began (kidding), I tried calling Jay to meet me at the hospital. Of course it was the one day he wasn’t glued to his cell. He was enjoying the Byron Nelson golf tournament, where they confiscate your phone upon entering. Thank goodness for family nearby, or I would have been out of luck!
I finally made it to the ER, where I was miserably informed that I had indeed fractured my fifth metatarsal. The long skinny bone that goes from your pinky toe up your foot. And my favorite part was hearing that I had to go straight home and stay off of it until until I saw the doctor next week. WHAT?! Off of it? Uhhh, I don’t really have the time for this, was my reply! He didn’t seem to care. So yes, I am sitting here on the couch, in the exact same spot I’ve been in since we got home on thurs. afternoon. My rear has left a permanent indention in the cushion, that I’m sure will grow larger and larger, the longer I sit here. I have sessions left unedited, poor clients that had sessions scheduled for this weekend, and worst of all, I am missing the Nordstrom half-yearly sale! All those cute shoes, just waiting for me….
So to those of you that have had to either re-schedule or scramble to find another photographer, I am SO sorry! I hope my referrals were able to help you. And those of you that are patiently waiting for your images to get edited, they will be done soon. Thank you for waiting!
Needless to say, I will be out of commission the next couple of weeks. I’ll still be answering e-mails, calls, and scheduling (and re-scheduling) sessions. So call me, e-mail me, I’m already bored!
I’ll leave you with a quick peek of a senior session. We did the majority of the session outdoors, and then he came over to be the first official client in my new studio! We got some great images and he was SO fun to work with! These are the first few I’ve gotten to, and am so anxious to get back to working on the rest! Hope you like, and I promise they will be done before graduation! Haha!
