{Lil’ Cowboy}- Killion Photography- Keller, Tx

I’m so behind on blog posts…I have so many things I want to share.  I don’t know why, but I always feel like I have to have something witty or profound to share whne I make a post.  And the truth is that I usually don’t feel witty or profound late at night when I finally find the time to update my blog.  So then I just don’t share anything! I know you’re thinking, just share some pictures, I don’t read what you write anyways! LOL! I’ll try to unload the blog expectaions that I have for myself and just share more pictures!

I had so much fun on this shoot.  Mom primarily wanted some pictures of her little cowboy since he’s turning 4 soon, but we had to sneak in some of little brother and the whole family!  Aren’t they an adorable family?!

Love this!

And the whole family….

{1,2,3….Jump!} - Southlake

Holden is now 18 months old.  A year and a half!  Where is my life going?!  He’s doing all kinds of big boy things now (tear).  Although I think the most amazing thing is hearing him start to talk more and more.  It’s so crazy when a new word just pops out of nowhere.   The best one has been when he stands up in chairs, Jay always tell him to “sitdown” in a very firm voice.  So last night, Holden looked back at him and told him to “sitdown” with the same tone and everything.  Probably not gonna be cute when he’s 3, but it’s so cute now!

To celebrate this mile marker, Jay and I took him out for a little photoshoot of his own.  I take pictures of him all the time but don’t take him out for an actual “shoot” often enough.  I’m going to do this more often.  I know I’ll hate myself in 10 years if I don’t.  I’m sure it will get easier as he gets older, but right now, he wants to do anything but stand still for the camera for 2 seconds (that’s all I need)!  Anyways, after a few cute shots, Jay and I were exhausted from chasing him around and just about to give-up when the thought occured to me that he likes to play the jumping game.  You know, when you count to 3 and then jump? Duh….don’t you play this?  Holden taught himself to jump a few weeks ago and thinks it the most incredible thing ever.   I thought it was worth a try. And guess what?!  It worked!  We finally got him to look at us while we snapped away!  Check out my little cutie….

{Boy Meets Cupcake}

So Holden and I decided to make some cupcakes for Halloween this week.  He was supposed to be taking a nap but refused to sleep, so I had to find some quick entertainment! He loves to cook with me.  His Mimi got him his own little spatula from Williams Sonoma (so cute!) so he helps to stir.  But his favorite is definitely cracking the eggs and tasting the batter (which I have to say is my favorite part also)!

Anyways, when the cupcakes were cooled down and ready to be iced, we started having lots of fun! I gave Holden his own cupcake to ice and a spoon to dip into the icing.  Needless to say, the icing skipped the cupcake and went straight into our mouth!  By the end, he actually developed himself a little system.  He would dip his spoon into the bowl of sprinkles, then into the icing, and finally, the mouth! This went on for quite awhile!  We went straight into the bath for clean-up and left a huge chocolate ring around the bath tub!  I don’t usually post this many pics on my blog but there where so many cute ones, that I just couldn’t resist!  Happy Halloween!

So happy together…{Killion Photography - Children Portraits, Keller}

These are the sweetest kiddos! They were so fun and well-behaved. I told mom I was gonna call her for some parenting lessons when Holden gets older!  We got so many cute pics, I wish I could show them all! But here’s a sneak peek for mom.

Oh, I love this shot with the empty swing swinging next to her in the background…

The Best Dressed!

Salt Lake City was beautiful and seriously has some of the most beautiful people ever! Everywhere I looked, people were well-dressed and good-looking. I don’t know what their secret is, but I definitely want in on it!  We had some local families come to be our models for the day.  None of them had ever modeled before, but you would never guess it by the way they worked the camera!  Here are a couple peeks at one of the families I got to photograph.  I’ll post some of the other kids later.
