{It’s a girl!!} killion photography keller newborn

One of my favorite families is back!  I think it’s so fun to watch the families I photograph grow and change.  This sweet little baby makes number 3 and she’s so lucky to have the most amazing parents and the sweetest older brother and sister.  They kept the sex a surprise throughout the pregnancy so I’m sure it’s been fun announcing to everyone that “IT’S A GIRL”!  Congratulations guys!  She is adorable and I’m in love with her pouty little lips!

{Pretty in Pink}- Central HS, DFW Senior, Killion photography

Woohoo!  Not much longer before this ridiculous boot comes off!  I call it my Darthvader boot, because it so looks like part of a Star Wars costume.  I’ll have to have Jay get a picture of it before we part ways (talking about the boot, not Jay taking off!).

I got to shoot this lovely senior outdoors awhile ago, and then she came over a few weeks ago for some studio shots.  It wasn’t long after the broken foot fiasco, so Jay had to help me shoot these.  He was a great helper and a pretty good photographer!

July is booked up and August is getting there quickly, so if you’re planning to get your senior session done before school starts, ya better call quickly!

Prom dresses can be so much fun, bring yours along for some fun memories!

{Family Fun}

First of all, let me wish Jay a Happy Birthday tomorrow!  I truly have a wonderful husband and am so grateful for him and the way that he loves me and Holden.  Happy Birthday honey!

Since we got the new studio set-up, we’ve had fun playing around in it when we get a chance.  It’s so fun to have this incredible studio right in my house!  Whenever friends or family come over for a party or something, we can run to the studio and play around for a bit.  It’s always a fun attraction!  Here are some of my favs from the past month.

A few of Holden and Jay…

I love this one of me and Holden that Jay took.  I know all our limbs are chopped off, but I still love it!

My dad had us all cracking up on Holden’s birthday, as he pretended to be a supermodel for the camera. This is one of the more tame images I took!

{Catch me if you can!}

Since I’m still glued to the crutches for at least another week, I haven’t gotten to do any sessions lately.  There has been nice weather and tantalizing light just teasing me as I sit on the back porch day after day.  And though I’d really like to get back up and start shooting again, I can’t deny that this has been good for me.  I didn’t even realize how crazy busy I was until I was forced to drop everything.  You know when you just start getting out of control with things to do (that MUST be done or the world will end)?  And the beauty of just enjoying life and all the great family and friends you have seems to slip away in the whirlwind?  I think I was caught-up in that whirlwind and now that I can sit back and take things in, it feels really good.

I don’t want to be that person that can’t enjoy the simplicity of life.  You know the people that are always complaining about how busy they are and when you try and have a conversation with them, you can tell they’re not really listening to you because they’re thinking about something else the whole time.  I’m sure we’ve probably all been there at one time or another, but I don’t want to be someone who permanently resides there.  So yea, I think it’s been good for me to take a breather and step back for a bit.  Maybe the next time I get so busy, I’ll catch myself before I’m forced to break something else!

Anyways, here are a few images from a session a few weeks ago that I never shared.  This little guy definitely made me exercise!
