{Fight Night}
November 20, 2008 – 1:32 am
I swear I have the cutest little boy ever! He just loves his mom and I love it! Holden has never liked it when Jay and I hug or get lovey-dovey. He always squeezes right in the middle and breaks it up. But lately he’s become my little protector. Jay loves to watch UFC (for you girls out there that have no clue, it’s like a WWF thing but Jay hates it when I call it that because he says it’s real…. unlike the WWF fights). Anyways, he likes to pretend he’s one of the fighters sometimes (boys really don’t ever fully grow-up) and likes to practice new moves on me quite often. Lucky for him, I had a brother so I know a thing or two about wrestling. And I have seriously flexible legs from years of gymnastics. So if I can get my legs wrapped around him just right, he’s so at my mercy.
Well Jay has been in a wrestling mood lately so there have been lots of matches going on at our house much to Holden’s dismay. When Holden sees us wrestling, he immediately stops whatever he’s into and rushes over to rescue me. He starts pulling on Jay and yelling at him (in babytalk of course) until he gets him off of me. He will literally wrap both arms around him and try and pull him off. It’s the cutest thing ever. But then my favorite part, is that he always comes to get me back up. He grabs a hold of me and pulls until I sit up. Then he sits in my lap for awhile to make sure Jay doesn’t attack again. Isn’t that the sweetest thing ever?!?!
Alright, enough about Holden and all his cuteness. Time to check out some senior cuteness!
I swear she could be a model. She gave me the best expressions!
{Long-haired Little Boys}
November 16, 2008 – 12:50 pm
Holden has long hair for a boy and some of my friends and family aren’t too in love with the hairstyle we’ve chosen for him. And lately, a few random people have made comments about what a pretty girl I have so I thought it was time to educate the world (not that the world reads my blog, but it’s a start) on the latest styles. Apparently, Holden is very trendy. Check out the link below to see some of the latest celebs flaunting long hair on their little guys.

Now, Holden’s hair isn’t anywhere as long as this, and probably won’t ever be, but (and you’re welcome to think I’m crazy if you want) I dig it. I’m curious to see who likes this look and who doens’t, so leave a comment and let me know what ya think!
Now here’s one from my last bunch of seniors. I’ve just got a few more this week and then no more for 2008!

{Family Fun!}
November 11, 2008 – 12:28 am
Believe it or not, I really do like to blog! I like to write and always seem to have something to say (I know Jay is nodding in agreement to that). Life has just gotten so busy that I don’t have the time. That’s okay, I’m just storing up all my random thoughts for December (I’m taking most of it off)! Isn’t it funny how when you’re busy, you can’t wait to have nothing to do, and then when you have nothing to do, you’re going crazy for something to do! I’m sure I’ll be like this soon, but for now, I’m awaiting the day that I’ll have nothing to do.
I haven’t been able to blog all my shoots lately, because I just don’t have the time. And even though I still don’t have the time, I have to share a few of these with you. They are actually friends of ours so it was really fun to get to hang out with them for the morning and capture their fun personalities.
I absolutely LOVE this image! The light is perfect and isn’t she adorable?!
“Who me?…Look at how sweet and innocent I am.”
Isn’t this the best? I love them all playing together.

Holden is now 18 months old. A year and a half! Where is my life going?! He’s doing all kinds of big boy things now (tear). Although I think the most amazing thing is hearing him start to talk more and more. It’s so crazy when a new word just pops out of nowhere. The best one has been when he stands up in chairs, Jay always tell him to “sitdown” in a very firm voice. So last night, Holden looked back at him and told him to “sitdown” with the same tone and everything. Probably not gonna be cute when he’s 3, but it’s so cute now!
To celebrate this mile marker, Jay and I took him out for a little photoshoot of his own. I take pictures of him all the time but don’t take him out for an actual “shoot” often enough. I’m going to do this more often. I know I’ll hate myself in 10 years if I don’t. I’m sure it will get easier as he gets older, but right now, he wants to do anything but stand still for the camera for 2 seconds (that’s all I need)! Anyways, after a few cute shots, Jay and I were exhausted from chasing him around and just about to give-up when the thought occured to me that he likes to play the jumping game. You know, when you count to 3 and then jump? Duh….don’t you play this? Holden taught himself to jump a few weeks ago and thinks it the most incredible thing ever. I thought it was worth a try. And guess what?! It worked! We finally got him to look at us while we snapped away! Check out my little cutie….
