So happy together…{Killion Photography - Children Portraits, Keller}

These are the sweetest kiddos! They were so fun and well-behaved. I told mom I was gonna call her for some parenting lessons when Holden gets older!  We got so many cute pics, I wish I could show them all! But here’s a sneak peek for mom.

Oh, I love this shot with the empty swing swinging next to her in the background…

The Best Dressed!

Salt Lake City was beautiful and seriously has some of the most beautiful people ever! Everywhere I looked, people were well-dressed and good-looking. I don’t know what their secret is, but I definitely want in on it!  We had some local families come to be our models for the day.  None of them had ever modeled before, but you would never guess it by the way they worked the camera!  Here are a couple peeks at one of the families I got to photograph.  I’ll post some of the other kids later.

Ready to be home…- {Killion Photography - Family Pictures, Keller}

Gosh, this week has just flown by! I’ve been in Utah this week doing some photography and haven’t had much time to blog. Hopefully I can post some of my work here in a few days.  I’m flying back tomorrow and can’t wait to see Jay and Holden.  It’s always good to get a break every now and then but after a few days, I’m always more then ready to see my boys and get some good kisses!  Needless to say….I’m quite behind on processing since I’ve been gone but here’s a quick sneak peek from a session I did with a gorgeous family in Ft Worth right before I left!

I love this moment between mom and daughter….so sweet and intense

This little girl is definitely gonna be in the AP program pretty soon! She’s most curious about everything around her.  Standing still wasn’t her thing, so I had to be ready for these sweet looks!

I love daddies with their girls.  As they grow-up, girls aren’t usually as close to their fathers, but they were such an exception! I love how they interacted with each other and could just tell how much he loves her.  So sweet…

Guess how much I love you? {Killion Photography - Newborn Pictures, Keller}

I love that book! If you don’t have a little one, then you might not be familiar with it, but it is so sweet. Before Holden, I probably thought it was just another kids book, but now, I really get it. I would have never thought I could love that little guy so much.  I mean seriously, when I hear him wake-up in the morning, I get a huge smile on my face and can’t wait to go get him. Sometimes, when he wakes up from a nap, Jay and I race to be the first one in his room so we can pick him up and cuddle. No really, we like knock each other down in the hallway!  I think I will never tire of his endless little kisses (even though he mostly gives sloppy french kisses) and would hold him all day long if he’d let me!

I was on my way to bed the other night at about 2:00 am. I was so tired and had been up editing pictures all night. All I wanted to do was pass out in my big, comfy bed. But as I went to turn off a lamp, I saw my bible sitting there and felt like God was telling me to open it up cause he wanted to tell me something real quick. I was thinking….oh no, I can’t remember when I read my bible last…I’ve just been so busy. Of course, I started to think, I was gonna “get it”.  But instead, here’s what I read:

“For the Lord still loves Israel even though the people have turned to other gods, offering them choice gifts”.

Hosea 3:1

That totally broke me down as I started thinking about how much God loves me, even when I don’t deserve it.  Even when I totally neglect him and take control of my own life, He’s there still loving me, waiting for me to come to my senses. Not waiting to “punish” me but to give me big hugs and kisses. So if Jay and I love Holden so much we wrestle to pick him up first, then I bet God is just going crazy when we turn our backs on him. I can’t imagine going in to wake Holden up and him just totally ignoring me. It would break my heart. I hate that I do that to God sometimes.

Anyways, here is one of God’s new little angels. I have no doubt that mom and dad will soon be fighting over who gets to hold her (that is after they recover from the lack of sleep)! Welcome to the world, little one, may your stay be filled with love and laughter.

I LOVE newborn black and whites but I have them all in color too mom and dad!

Don’t ya love daddy’s with their new little girls…

Monkey Business! - {Killion Photography - Fort Worth}

We took Holden to the zoo for the first time this week. He had so much fun and was just in awe of everything.   He pretty much ran from animal to animal, stopping when he saw something of interest to stare with his mouth wide open for a few minutes. It was the most adorable thing ever!  His favorites were the monkeys and the penguins. Oh, and we did have to stop and chat with a parrot for quite a bit.  It’s so fun watching kids see things like this for the first time. I mean when he saw the penguins, he was so excited, he started clapping, yelling “yay”, and looking at everyone in the room and pointing to the penguins to make sure they saw them too!!!  I know he was wondering why everyone else wasn’t clapping too and why we were just sitting there staring. I’ll bet when you’re a kid, you think adults are just total duds who don’t appreciate anything worth getting excited about in life. When was the last time you saw something so exciting, you immediately stopped what you were doing and started clapping and expressing your excitement in front of everyone?! I’ll bet it’s been awhile. We could probably learn a lot from one year olds. Since the monkeys were his favorite, he spent the rest of the evening walking around going “eee,eee,ooo,ooo,ahhh,ahhh”. Simply adorable!

So anyways, here is the look of pure awe and wonder that we saw most of the day…that is when we weren’t watching his backside as he ran as fast as he could through the zoo!

And here’s what he was looking at when I took that picture….

When he realized that the parrot was talking to him!
